Our Programs – Roadmap to Freedom
Roadmap to Freedom is a transformative program of Science of Freedom Foundation, designed to help immigrants and allies understand freedom, civil rights, and democratic institutions. Through bilingual media in English and Russian, we use compelling stories and historical examples to make complex ideas accessible, teaching viewers how to recognize authoritarian and totalitarian patterns before they take hold.
Roadmap to Freedom, a program of Science of Freedom Foundation, is independent of any political party or government initiative.
Origins of Roadmap to Freedom
From Volitional Science to Toda
At the end of the 20th century, a new branch of social science called Volitional Science emerged at the Los Angeles Free Enterprise Institute. In 1961, astrophysicist Andrew Galambos founded the Institute and began teaching his “Theory of Property,” aiming to create a precise, testable science of human action and social organization—similar to what Isaac Newton accomplished for the physical sciences.
These groundbreaking ideas were refined and taught through a famous series of lectures by Jay Snelson, the Institute’s head lecturer, using the scientific method, clear definitions, and extensive historical examples.
Roadmap to Freedom brings those insights into today’s world, especially for immigrants who have experienced both unfree and free societies firsthand.
The Golden Rule Society
The Vision
The Free Enterprise Institute envisioned a future social order based on the Golden Rule—”Do not do to others what is hateful to you”—and Roadmap to Freedom presents this vision as a practical, humane framework for modern life.
What It Means
Science of Freedom Foundation uses the term “Golden Rule Society” to describe communities where voluntary cooperation, respect for person and property, and non-coercion are core principles that guide daily interactions and governance.
Why It Matters
This vision connects directly to the lived experience of. immigrants who have escaped coercive systems and are now helping to build freer, fairer societies in their adopted homeland.
What Is Roadmap to Freedom
Translating Ideas Into Action
Roadmap to Freedom is a bilingual media and education initiative. It translates Volitional Science and the Theory of Property into understandable lessons, stories, and practical tools.
Our content bridges abstract principles and everyday reality, making complex ideas accessible.
We focus on helping immigrants and allies see how fundamental principles of freedom apply to everyday life, law, culture, and politics—empowering them to recognize threats to liberty and defend democratic values in their communities.
Bilingual YouTube Channels
English-Language Channel
The Roadmap to Freedom English YouTube channel is an educational platform produced by Science of Freedom Foundation, featuring videos, interviews, and commentary on democratic values and civil rights, Volitional Science concepts explained in plain language, and how to recognize totalitarian tactics and protect a Golden Rule Society.

Expected Outcomes
In an era of disinformation, propaganda, and rising authoritarian trends, immigrants who have experienced both unfree and free systems are uniquely positioned to defend democratic values. Our program equips them with the knowledge and confidence to do exactly that.
In the next 12 months, we aim to release 24 new educational videos, host 15 community study groups across multiple cities, and reach 50,000+ engaged viewers through our bilingual channels—building momentum toward a growing network of informed, empowered citizens.
Increased Civic Knowledge
Greater understanding and confidence among immigrant viewers in navigating democratic institutions
Propaganda Recognition
Stronger ability to identify propaganda and early warning signs of authoritarianism
Growing Community
An expanding network aligned with Golden Rule Society principles of voluntary, non-coercive cooperation
Democratic Integration
Better integration into democratic life while maintaining critical awareness of how freedoms can be lost
Beyond the Screen
Roadmap to Freedom connects to our broader work at Science of Freedom Foundation, including civic-education workshops, community networks, and media partnerships that expand on themes from our videos, creating lasting impact in communities across America.
